    Mr. Tumur-Ochir, a Mongolian citizen, has a wealth of global experience in the mining and oil and gas industry. Mr. Tumur-Ochir is responsible for new business acquisitions, development and government and community relations. He is also responsible for daily operations in Mongolia.

    Under his guidance, Steppe Gold was awarded the “Best Investment of the Year Award” from the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry and Mineral Resource and Petroleum Authority of Mongolia in 2019. Mr. Tumur-Ochir is also Executive Director of Ion Energy LLC and GCD LLC Mongolia.

    Mr. Tumur-Ochir holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and graduate certificates in international business and marketing from institutions in Australia and Singapore.

    Jeremy South

    SVP and CFO
    Jeremy was a director of Steppe Gold from March 2017 until his appointment as CFO in July 2018. He has over 35 years of experience in M&A, capital markets and private equity in Europe, North America and Australia, including senior positions in investment banking at Deutsche Bank, NatWest Markets and Deloitte.

    Jeremy was Global Leader, Mining M&A Advisory at Deloitte for over 10 years. Based in Beijing, he advised leading Asian trading houses and financial investors on mining M&A, financing and strategy, and he counted some of Asia’s largest companies as clients. He worked extensively in Mongolia over the past 10 years.

    Jeremy is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Monash University (Australia). Jeremy acted as Chairman of Aldridge Minerals Inc. up until the sale to Trafigura Ventures. He holds the ICD.D designation as a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors.

    Aneel Waraich

    Executive VP & Director, Steppe Gold
    Mr. Waraich, a Canadian citizen, is a financial services professional with over 15 years of progressive experience in capital markets. Mr. Waraich is Founder and Managing Partner of ATMA Capital Markets.

    Mr. Waraich focuses primarily on advising public and private companies in the Natural Resources sector and has worked on over $1B in deals. In previous roles at Goodman and Company Investment Counsel and Dundee Capital Markets he worked as an analyst valuing private companies. Most recently Aneel worked as an investment banker focusing on deal origination, going-public transactions and financings for both public and private companies in the resource and technology sectors. Mr. Waraich is also on the board of Antler Hill Mining Limited and Spirit Banner Capital Corp.

    Mr. Waraich received an MBA from Goodman Institute of Investment Management, at the John Molson School of Business.
