Reunion Gold: A Conversation With Cormark's Brock Colterjohn

Justin van der Toorn is an exploration geologist with 18 years’ experience in the minerals industry, leading and managing exploration teams from grassroots activities through to discovery and resource definition drilling. With a focus on gold exploration, Mr. van der Toorn has worked across various regions including Eastern Europe, North America and the Guiana Shield. His previous experience has been in a range of commodity and deposit styles, including extensive work in Carlin-style gold, low- and high-sulphidation epithermal, porphyry, and orogenic gold systems. Mr. van der Toorn holds a MSci degree in Geological Sciences from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London. He is registered as a Chartered Geologist (CGeol) of the Geological Society, and a European Geologist (EurGeol) by the European Federation of Geologists.

Education: BSc (Earth Sciences), Dalhousie University, 2012; MBA (Global Mining Management Specialization), Schulich School of Business, York University, 2017.

Experience: Joined Cormark in May 2020. Previously a Mining & Energy Equity Sales Specialist at Canaccord Genuity since 2017, and prior to that worked as an exploration and production geologist throughout Mexico and Canada.
