    Byron King

    Editor, Whiskey and Gunpowder Agora Financial
    A trained geologist, Byron King has been with Agora Financial – and now an Agora subsidiary called St. Paul Research – since 2002. Over many years, he wrote a series of newsletters covering the energy and mining sectors to include small cap juniors. He has traveled extensively, and visited exploration, development and producing sites in 6 out of 7 continents. Byron has also spoken at many resource-themed conferences.

    Presently, he writes a letter entitled Whiskey & Gunpowder, which explores large scale historical themes and macroeconomic issues, often with angles relating back to basic resources and the fundamentals of wealth creation.

    Byron is also a retired officer in the U.S. Navy. He holds earned academic degrees from Harvard, the Naval War College and University of Pittsburgh.

    Paul West-Sells

    President & CEO of Western Copper and Gold
    Dr. West-Sells has over 25 years' experience in the mining industry. After obtaining his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in Metallurgical Engineering, he worked with BHP, Placer Dome, and Barrick in increasingly senior roles in Research and Development and Project Development.

    Dr. West-Sells has worked for Western Copper and gold since 2006, where he has held a number of technical and executive positions, and is now the President and CEO overseeing the day to day operations of the company.

    Dr. West-Sells sits on the Yukon Minerals Advisory Board, the Board of the Yukon Mining Alliance and is also on the Centre for Northern Innovation in Mining Governing Council.

    Clynton Nauman

    Chairman & CEO of Alexco Resource
    Mr. Nauman brings over 35 years of diversified experience in the mineral industry, ranging from exploration and business development to operations and business management in the precious metals, base metals and coal sectors. Mr. Nauman is also currently the CEO of Asset Liability Management Group, and was General Manager of Kennecott Minerals from 1993-1998 and the President and CEO of Viceroy Resource Corporation from 1998-2002. Mr. Nauman holds a B.Sc. in geology.

    Brad Thrall

    President of Alexco Resource Corp.
    Mr. Thrall has over 25 years of experience and accomplishments in mine operations management, environmental management and mine-closure planning and execution. He previously held a number of operations management positions with companies such as Viceroy Resource Corporation, Barrick Gold, and Goldcorp. He is currently the President of Asset Liability Management Group. Mr. Thrall holds a B.Sc. in Metallurgical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, and an MBA from the University of Colorado.
