    Caroline Cochrane was first elected to the 18th Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly in 2015 and re-elected to the 19th Northwest Territories Legislative Assembly representing the constituency of Range Lake, before subsequently being elected as Premier of the Northwest Territories by her colleagues during the Territorial Leadership Council on October 24, 2019.

    Peter Tallman

    Geologist at Klondike Gold Corp
    Mr. Peter Tallman, P.Geo, is an experienced mining entrepreneur and Professional Geologist. He has 35+ years’ experience in the mining industry. Mr. Tallman has worked in Canada, Chile, Mexico, and Australia. His career has included the grassroots discovery and delineation of three mineral deposits, two of which have been mined, diversely including one gold, one antimony, and one zinc deposit. He is currently Director of Fiore Gold Ltd. which operates a Carlin-style, open-pit, heap-leach gold mine in east-central Nevada. Mr. Tallman has held either Founder, Director, and/or senior management positions with publicly listed Canadian mining companies continuously since 1995.

    Don Macdonald

    President & CEO of NorZinc
    Mr. MacDonald has over 30 years’ experience in mine development, operation and financing. He has been involved in the development and/or operation of over 20 mines in North and South America, and completion of multiple mine financings. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CA, with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Oxford University.

    He was formerly CFO and Acting CEO at KGHM International (formerly Quadra FNX Mining), and prior to that served as CFO of NovaGold, De Beers Canada Mining and Dayton Mining. He is a director of the Mining Association of Canada, and the NWT and Nunavut Chamber of Mines.

    Keyvan Salehi

    President & CEO of Nighthawk Gold
    Keyvan Salehi has over 20 years of industry experience having held various senior roles in operations, projects, and corporate development. Prior to joining Nighthawk, Mr. Salehi served as the Vice President of Corporate Development and Technical Services with Mountain Province Diamonds, where he was responsible for providing operational and technical oversight for their jointly owned 12,000 tonnes per day diamond mine in the Northwest Territories, introducing mine optimization initiatives to increase production and reduce costs. Mr. Salehi also served as VP of Corporate Development and Technical Services for Kirkland Lake Gold (2016-2017), where he led the Company’s due diligence team behind the $2.4B merger with Newmarket Gold. He held the same position at St. Andrew Goldfields (2013-2016), where he spearheaded the Company’s sale process culminating in the sale to Kirkland Lake Gold in 2016. Prior to those roles, he held various operating positions with Lake Shore Gold, FNX Mining, and Vale (2002 – 2013). Mr. Salehi holds a Bachelor of Applied Sciences, Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg-Schulich School of Management.
