Co-founded several successful mining companies over 35 years including Wheaton River, Thompson Creek and Glencairn Gold. Former editor of The Northern Miner Magazine.

A Mining Engineer who was a key player in the construction and operation of Detour Lake, which sold for $5 billion last year. Previous to that he held senior positions at Barrick Gold and Placer Dome.
