Fekola Mine:
B2Gold acquired the world-class Fekola Gold Project in southwest Mali through a merger with Papillon Resources Limited in October 2014. Early work construction activities at B2Gold’s fifth and largest mine began in February 2015. By the end of September 2017, the Company had completed construction of the Fekola Mine, and the first gold pour took place less than a couple of weeks later. Within only 60 days from start-up, the mine achieved commercial production on November 30, 2017, ahead of schedule and on budget.
New Beginnings:
New Beginnings is a documentary about the Fadougou community and surrounding local and regional authorities who worked with B2Gold to help resettle the village of Fadougou in southwestern Mali to “New Fadougou”.
